The Best Music of 2010 countdown continues with the top 5 songs of the year. These were the best of the best and my favorite songs of the year. Enjoy some very cool videos to go along with a few of these. That Arcade Fire song still gives me chills every time I listen to it at the same exact point in the song. Unreal. So good. Love it. So much.
#5 Yeasayer “O.N.E.”
#4 Gorillaz – “Melancholy Hill”
#3 Suckers – “A Mind I Knew”
No video – but you can listen to it on their Myspace page!
#2 Caribou – “Jamelia”
#1 Arcade Fire – “Ready to Start”

The Best Music of 2010 Countdown begins today, but first, let’s review those songs and albums that barely missed the cut!

Here is a neat stop-motion video from my time in Australia. Enjoy!

A new video from Kerrin Sheldon! It is has already been given the Editor’s Choice award by Tripfilms and even prompted an interview of the filmmaker (see: me), so you know it must be awesome!
If you had the mental strength to try and watch this with a clear head, and even question it’s inherent awesomeness for a moment, then you can see for yourself if it really is as awesome as everyone says by watching it below. Unfortunately, no one has that sort of mental strength and must automatically acquiesce to the fact that this video is truly, and unbelievably, awesome. You can confirm this now:
Actually, that wasn’t that good. I give it a 6.5 out of 10.
Someone over at Tripfilms likes me.
His name is Kyle Smith. You may remember him because in September, he gave ”Spaceman” a nice shout-out on his blog over at Tripfilms. Well now, after uploading two more videos on Tripfilms, he has found me worthy of an interview. Which you can read here. And here.
So thanks again to Kyle and everyone at Tripfilms for enjoying my videos and I hope someday I’ll be able to pay them back. Not with money of course, for that would be silly.
Check out all of Kyle’s postings here.
Kyle Smith is now on my good side, even though Kyle Smith was never actually on my bad side. In fact, before twenty-five minutes ago, I had no idea who Kyle Smith was. But he knew me.
Over on tripfilms Kyle Smith runs a blog that highlights some of his favorite things about traveling and the videos people make while traveling. Luckily for Kyle Smith, I travel. Also lucky for Kyle Smith is that I shoot lots of video while I travel. Luckily for me, Kyle Smith likes my videos.
He gives a big shout-out to “Spaceman in China”! So, thanks to Kyle Smith for liking my video and thanks to everyone else who is like Kyle Smith and likes me. And to those who are not like Kyle Smith – nobody likes you.
UPDATE: tripfilms is honoring “Spaceman in China” as a Featured Video and can be seen on the homepage (not sure how long it will last, but it may only be for today, so go watch it and then leave your wonderful comments!)
This is a little news spot that me and my friend Megan (Emmy-Award Nominee) put together for a little bit of fun. There are some references to earlier videos, such as all the China movies and Hard Workers (only released in select locations), so make sure you brush up on your Piao Bo Productions before watching1
